Strange Relations -- Hopefully I Live through the Night.

Alex Jones did a very interesting documentary called Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove.

It's an 1 hour and 34 minutes long -- I'll save you some time.
The Bohemian Grove is a secret meeting place of powerful world leaders (presidents, senators, top-level advisers), business leaders (like CEO's of Standard Oil and General Electric), University Presidents and the rest.

According to the site educate-yourself.org:
Bohemian Grove, a summer camp of sorts for the rich and powerful. Bohemian Grove is a secluded area outside Sacramento, Calif., where world leaders and dignitaries meet annually for a retreat that involves neo-pagan activities, including mock human sacrifices made before a large Owl statue referred to as "Moloch." While conducting this ritual, which they call "The Cremation of Care," participants are dressed in druid robes and chant and sing before Moloch.
And here's a New York Times Article that cites:
"The club, which holds two-week outings outside San Francisco at the Bohemian Grove, where members run about in the woods naked, includes many former Republican officials like Mr. Gergen."
Although the Times retracts the naked republicans running through the woods thing they do say "similar assertions have appeared in various newspapers over the years."

Where am I going with this?
Well, besides killing any journalist integrity by citing Alex Jones.

It touches on the idea of fraternal orders. The problem with Bohemian Grove isn't cult-like practices or running naked through the woods -- it's secret alliances and closed-door meetings.

What the hell does this have to do with SG elections?

Well, look at your current SG presidency, a particular candidate and the election board.

It's no secret: Supervisor of Elections Adam Ferrando, other members of the election board and presidential candidate SG VP Abe Cohen all have associations (membership or past membership) with Sigma Phi Epsilon (or SigEp).

Although many don't know -- the supervisor of elections has to be appointed by the Student Senate, which is run by SG VP Abe Cohen.

Sadly, because the person who witnessed it, is to cowardly to go on the record, there are rumors are abound about shady things happening in that closet across the hall from the Student Government office in the Student Union.

Notably: Unsanctioned candidate meetings between Cohen and Ferrando (Friends and Fraternity Brothers) where Cohen may have gotten a backstage look at the other candidates fliers (which have to be submitted to the supervisor of elections for approval).

I trust the SG member, who witnessed this. But I don't respect Him for not going on the record to tell the students the truth. Especially because his excuse was:
"Because I work with SGA, I will not be able to do that."
Regardless, here's what could be the truth, look into it for yourself.

It's about time SOMEONE has FINALLY realized the potential for another CORRUPT SG ELECTION.

How is it even feasible that the up and coming SG election can be considered "Fair and Impartial" when one of the PRESIDENTIAL CANDAIDATES (Abe Cohen) is FRATERNITY BROTHERS, and BEST FRIENDS with the Supervisor of Elections (Adam Ferando), alongside with the newly appointed Boca Commissioner (Mashal) who are both past members of SigEp (the fraternity that Abe was President for)

Now that's a joke!!!

.. Way to RIG another SG ELECTION

And to say that Abe had nothing to do with the (Presidential appointment) of both election commissioner positions IS A JOKE. It was a set up by the current sitting SG President, Tony T (who so happens to be Abe's running mate last election)
--- Full accountability and transparency??? Hahahahaha yeah right, CORRUPT.

Abe, Tony, Marshal, and others involved -- you should be ashamed of yourself.

If Abe wins (once again in a rigged and fixed election) get ready for ANOTHER YEAR of SG Leadership being the "Yes Man" for administration.

Do you really need to rig an election? How much power does the president of sga really have other than a resume builder? We all know any of the people elected will not have the balls to stand up in the board of governors. Most of sga's power is actually in the senate. Boca house was one of the most powerful until they threw most of their power into COSO. Come on we really know if someone was to rig the elections... they would be a nerdy guy (those are hard to find in frat houses).

I find it funny how easy it is for peope to fall into the exact behavior they protested so strongly against before they took office.

Kudo's gentlemen.

How did you get a copy of my (alledged) playbook?

Francis , i do like the play in there where you were 40 and living in the student apartments. :-P I'm actually quite jealous.

Thanks “m". It was fun but I had to move on.

I disagree with your prior post. There are plenty of nerdy, conniving little weasels in FAU's houseless frats. Mr. Rivera just outed a few of them.

By the way, if you want to get into a personal grudge match take some pride in yourself and stop hiding in anonymity.

Accountability and transparency, Right?

Transparency, visibility, clarity... sounds familiar doesn't it. THese are the words of our Vice President of Student Government. Not only is he the "Yes man." He's a coward who needs his fraternity brother to help him win an election because he simply can't cut it on his own. Even his own supporters say he's lazy and needs to be pushed to do ANYTHING, doesn't return calls, calls back when it's convenient....MEMBERS OF HIS OWN CAMPAIGN STAFF...HIS OWN SUPPORTERS! Civic engagement? I know for a fact he didn't do a damn thing but he didn't mind taking the credit. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM SOMEONE WHO RAN WITH A DRUG DEALER AND RAPIST!

I was an Election's Commissioner under Supervisor's Andrew Barry and Adam Ferrando. I am also the primary author of the current SG Election Chapter 300 Statutes.
I can say with confidence and experience, there is little or no opportunity for the election supervisor to give an advantage to anyone. The online voting system is monitored by the admin as well as the commission. The only contention is that the supervisor might give information to a person before all others. ie candidacy declarations or board decisions. But as the statutes are written, this would not be an advantage because everyone is privy to this information.
I encourage this kind of reporting. I think it is really great that UP is investigating the elections.
As the author of the new statutes, I encourage all interested parties to make sure the rules are being followed and keep your eyes and ears open. The commission in not a police force, is something is wrong, report it, make a complaint. It will be public and it will be dealt with fairly, if not by the commission then by the court.

Some more food for thought:

Funny thing I just stumbled upon... For months now the Student Government website has not been operational.

Now, all of a sudden... on ELECTION WEEK the SG Site decides to work, where we now find it fully functional and renevated.

But what is interesting is the BLATENT attempt by current sitting SG Leadership (Tony T. and Abe) to try and paste Abe's face ALL OVER THE SITE. EVERY picture on the site has guess who, Abe.
Hmmm..... just some more dirty, low, NON TRANSPARENT, and CORRUPT politics going on.

Nothing new.

... would this be considered using Student A/S Fees for campaigning? Hmmm, I know the "Voice" party would say -- absolutely Not. Yet, we know that's EXACTLY what it is.

Anonymous said...

If the president is running for re-election, do we remove his pictures from federal websites? Do we remove any pictures? This is real politics, the incumbent always has an advantage. How many people do you think visit the SG site that arent in SG?
If it is anything like the voter turnout at FAU (less than 8% last year), it won't make a difference.
Rather than expose the corruption of SG, why not simply campaign harder and longer and show you are unique.
Most of the rules about campaigning were removed since the last elections. Get out there and get people involved.

You conspiracy theorists are really lame. Some of you are the same people who gave Kirk Murray even worse unfair advantages when you overturned his election. Now you are here crying because Abe was in the same fraternity as Adam. Its all because you cannot lose with integrity. The claims made in this article would not be enough to have an affect on the outcome of the election. Do people care if Abe's face is on the SG website? NO! You guys start rumors just to drag people's names through the mud. GET A LIFE! It is also immoral to make claims about a person without any evidence whatsoever. There is not even hearsay in this situation; the person who made the claim won't even come forward and stand on his honor. You have all shown yourselves to be quite immature.

Anonymous said...

Ok, maybe somebody can fill me in-but when I go to www.fau.edu/sga I see "This website is under Construction and Shall be live shorty...!!!" There are no photographs at all- much less "Abe's face paste(d) all over the site" Also, you conspiracy theorists needs to stick with trying to figure out what happened that day in Dallas 44 years ago and stop inventing scandals in student government.

Tony, your past 2 posts were the most professional things you wrote/said all year! Good job!
As far as the website goes...great job! Just another empty promise...remember when you campaigned to improve the website last year? Drug dealer and rapist? I FAIL TO SEE HOW THAT DOES NOT DESCRIBE YOU! It's not mudslinging it's simply the truth.

sorry annoyed student, but i cannot take credit for any of the comments on this page because they're not mine! instead of hiding, my comments will come under my name!
Presidential appointments are just that, Presidential appointments. Yes, I appointed Mr. Ferrando, no arguements here, he's done an amazing job. There wasn't any corruption in last years election, so im not sure why people are expecting it this time! i must admit the conspiracy theories are fun to read about. its kind of like 9/11 just not nearly as important. As far as the website is concerned, we were unable to edit the old SG page because certain individuals refused to give up the password. Whats ironic is that most of you commenting on this page played intrical roles in previous election corruption scandals, now your afraid someone else, will stoop to the same pathetic levels you had in the past. in closing I believe I've had a great run as President and don't mind that some people may feel otherwise. I've done my best and had fun doing it.
p.s. A friend sent me this link today. so I signed up and posted these comments. Like I said earlier. Furthermore, if I say it, you will see my name connected to it. if you want a response from me in the future, I'd appreciate seeing your name connected to it.

yours truly,

FAU SG President

How can a writer(Steve Rivera), who is a recovering drug addict, challenge the integrity and honesty of other individuals when he himself was fired from the University Press for issues regarding publishing incorrect facts and falsifying statements? It just seems that it would be a little bit harder to establish legitimacy under that circumstance

Anybody notice how he still hasn't said anything about the drug dealer/rapist comments? Isn't there a saying that to remain silent is to agree?

Not sure we've ever met. Or whether or not your just trying to get a rise out of me. I was taught if a man isn't present than a man shouldn't listen! with that said I am going to ignore your ridiculous claims. however, if you are an FAU student, feel free to schedule a meeting with me, and we can address any problems you may have with me. Unless of course, your afraid? if thats the case we can have the FAU police come with you.

Abe should not be punished because the people he is around support him. Additionally, 'best friend' is a strong word to use and I would not use it when describing the relationship that Abe and Adam have. And if you all are so worried about SG elections being rigged maybe you all should get involved and make sure that the integrity of SG is maintained, until that happens jumping to conclusions is uncalled for and unneeded.
And maybe we should look at the corruption that has plagued the house in the form of governor’s past. This particular governor who will stop at nothing to finally win a presidential election even if he is graduating in the spring.

Everything may be under review by the SG Courts but I say again...we shouldn't have to have this discussion! The Elections Supervisor should be unbiased. How does it look that Abe Cohen's frat brothers are on the board (the supervisor and commissioner)? You can't honestly say that that wasn't planned out! People who bitch about ethics should practice it too!

Anonymous said...

To this Anonymous who posted this: " you are all idiots.
everything Adam does as supervisor of elections is subject to review by the sg courts (which is partly lead by vice presidential candidate and current attorney general, Jerred Stark!)
not to mention, Adam Ferando was appointed by the univeristy wide senate WHILE Jarred Torres was a university wide senator! (and everyone knows that torres hand picked the members of the YOUnity party)"

You need to stop calling people idiots because you have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
1st. There are no "SG Courts" There is one Student Court and it is NOT "partly lead by Jerred Stark" I don't know where to even begin with this incredibly stupid statement. The Court (singular) is "led" (not lead) by the Chief Justice, his name is Jeffrey Joyner. Also, the Attorney General's name is Jared not "Jerred". The Attorney General has no control over the court and can only file petitions which, genuius, any student can do. SO, shut up until you know what you are talking about unless you want to show everybody just how ignorant you really are.

Steve gave up drugs?

Say it aint so Steven... Say it aint so.

Peter Torres started the "rapist" rumor.

Jared Torres was the gutless front-man for Rocky J.

Hallenstein is gone; leave that poor fuck alone!

Adam was Elections Supervisor before Tony was ever elected (unless you count his stint as a Senator).

Robby (computer geek) left the SG computing crap job with all the codes to change the website. Who did he support? Diversity. Don't hate Tony and Abe for not changing the website when it took them months just to get access to it.

This year you get to choose from...

Ego & ???

FAU Ambassador / RA Experience & Ego

or

Experience & Experience

I don't know about you, but this one seems easier that a "Learning Strategies" final.

I was sent this blog link from a friend and I felt I should make a couple thing's straight, on behalf of Jared Torres. I spoke to him and he refuses to take part in any blog; he stated "If people have anything to say to/and or about me they can say it to my face. End of story."

But on his behalf:

Torres has been opposed to the appointment and confirmation of Adam Ferando since the beginning. While he sat on the University Wide Senate, Ferando was up for confirmation for the Elections Supervisor position. Torres was the only Senator that was directly opposed to the appointment and if you look up the record he voted time and time again against the appointment. He voted against the appointment of Ferando simply because of his possible close ties/friendship to Abe. The Supervisor of Elections needs to be both fair and totally impartial. No questions asked.

As for the court, yes it does have supervision and if something blatent goes wrong then there is an option to bring a court case. But who wants to do that? Who wants to put FAU through another SG election filled with contestations.

As for the personal attacks on Torres, those are simply ridiculous. If anyone knows Torres, he does pretty well with the ladies.

In conclusion, lets hope for a fair election.

Anonymous said...

alright, listen up Jared's lover. The fact that he is a friend of Abe's does not show impartiality. If you ask him the question, "can you do a job act ethically within the position?" and his answer is yes, good enough. He has not done anything to warrant this crazy suspicion that you are putting him through. Jared of course is suspicious, because he helped put Farheed in as the chief justice for the Kirk Murray debacle. And how did that end up? The guy that Jared endorsed was given the boot for stealing money from the students. At least Adam has acted ethically within his position. Jared has never once done this, and that people know that he is a loser. Hence why he lost last years election to Abe, people know that he is fake.

I have worked with Adam Ferrando on several projects within the University sphere. He is one of the most honest, intelligent, hard working individuals at FAU. The great thing is all that these fanatics can do is simply questions his integrity because he has never once in all his en devours here been dishonest with any person or any organization. If he had it would have been brought up already. This school owes him a lot of thanks and so do all of you. When this blog was mentioned to him, he responded by saying "(laugh)I imagine the people writing that stuff are the people who don't really know me. I'm gonna keep doing what I do and that is work hard. Whoever they are can keep doing what they do and thats nothing worth talking about."

What kind of person hires their frat brother?

Anonymous said...

hahahah Frank, almost every SG President and almost every US President. Do research before you post an ignorant comment like that.

Anonymous said...

But is it ethical?

Anonymous said...

zeof course it is, Abe didn't hire Adam, Tony Teixeira did who is in a fraternity which is competing with Adam Ferrando. In fact, the two groups don't get along very much. People are hired because of qualifications, not because of their associations. Adam was by far the most qualified candidate for the position at the time.

Regardless of what Steve's past might be, that does not change the credibility of this blog. There are weird signs with the SigEp brothers, closed doors, roomates, etc. Steve has a point and for the record he wasn't fired from the UP.

Anonymous said...

There is zero credibility to the article. There are no "weird signs". There were no closed doors, and not even a credible witness. Without naming the person, there is zero credibility to anything said because you cannot fact check or scrutinize the information.

Adam was never a room mate of Abe's, and like previous posts state, Abe wasn't the one who appointed Adam. Abe won, sore losers who once contributed to other election corruption should just go home. (Jared Torres and others)
